Apply to Participate in Beyond the Covers Events

Vendor & Author Opportunities

Beyond the Covers hosts curated literary-themed pop-ups and book fairs in Houston, featuring indie authors, artists, bookish businesses, and creative vendors. Our goal is to create community-centered experiences that are joyful, memorable, and mission-driven.

We thoughtfully select vendors to keep each event unique, high-quality, and engaging for guests, and we’re always on the lookout for new makers, creatives, and storytellers to join us. Because originality is central to our mission, we ask that all applicants disclose if and how they use AI in their creative process (proofreading, brainstorming, product marketing, etc.). AI tools may be part of your process, but applicants whose work relies primarily on AI-generated content may not be a fit for these events.

🧾 How Vendor Applications Work

  • We accept applications on a per-event basis. Use the individual event links below to apply.
  • Each event includes a booth fee and a required donation to a designated nonprofit.
    • Booth fees vary by event and space type.
    • Donations are kept separate so vendors can write them off for tax purposes.
    • Vendors may be required to provide proof of donation within 7 days of the event.
  • We ask all vendors to help promote the event on their social media. This helps us ensure strong turnout and supports everyone involved.
    • You’ll receive graphics, hashtags, and other promo assets in advance.
  • Failure to provide proof of donation, disclose AI use, or participate in event promotion may result in removal from our events. We aim to build a collaborative, unique, and supportive vendor community.

🛠️ What to Expect

  • All vendors must provide their own setup (tables, chairs, tents, etc.).
  • Booths may be outdoors or indoors depending on the venue, check each event page for details.
  • Events may have limited electric access and space, and some offer Wi-Fi.
  • Spaces are limited and selection is curated to avoid overlap and ensure variety.
