Volunteer Info & Interest
We’d love your help making the Beyond the Covers Book Fair *for Adults: Vol. 2 a success!
Volunteers are a huge part of building this community, and we couldn’t do it without you.
What to Expect
- Some roles are pre-event, others are on the day-of. You can pick what works best for you.
- Day-of volunteers must be 21 or over and able to join us in person at Social Beer Garden HTX in Midtown: 3101 San Jacinto St 77004.
Volunteer Opportunities
- Flyering & Promotion: help distribute posters/flyers at coffee shops, libraries, indie businesses around town.
- Event Setup & Logistics: 4-6 PM. Help prep the venue, clear vendor spaces, set chalkboard signage, direct vendors and authors to their spaces, and assist with vendor parking. (May include some light lifting, up to 25 lbs.)
- Event Breakdown: 10-11ish PM: Help us put the venue back together at the end of the night.
- Event Paparazzi: capture photos and short video clips (setup, market, author signings, vibes!) for use in recap posts and teasers. No need for professional equipment, you can do this on your phones!
